One Tabbed Browser to Rule them All
MyIE2 is really amazing. If your running Windows and not using it, you've got to try it.
It's got tabs, gestures,ad blocking, pop up blocking, embeds IE in this environment and in the most recent builds you can now embed the gecko engine as well. So now you can have one tab rendering with gecko and the tab next to it rendering with IE! To get this functionality all you have to do is install the Mozilla ActiveX Control along with MyIE2.
Nice Right?

Have you tried firefox? I've heard many people say they like it better than MyIE, it does everything you say, with the installation of a plugin or two.
Hm, a Javablog touting IE? :) ActiveX?
Mozilla or Firefox, my friend, and you don't have to worry about crap being installed a/o your permission.
Firefox is ok, I've used it since it was Phoenix. Mozilla is just horrible.
But your missing the point =) The reason I like MyIE2 is because it embeds the IE engine which I actually prefer to gecko and then adds those features on top of it, with the plus of being able to also embed a Gecko instance inside at the same time if you ever should want it.
I don't worry about any of that, and not every Java developer is an anti-microsoft-linux-is-god-mozilla-rulez-opensource-or-die-sheep.
"not every Java developer is an anti-microsoft-linux-is-god-mozilla-rulez-opensource-or-die-sheep" I like that. :-) I am a big fan of MyIE2 too. I blogged about it here
I'm curious, why do you like the IE renderer better? In my experience Gecko renders everything about how IE renders it, but Gecko also supports other things better (like CSS).
I don't know really I just think it looks better, and it also has better dhtml support, which I had to unfortunately use a few months ago for something.
